Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

In plain English: We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, functional cookies to remember your preferences, and analytics cookies (via Google Analytics) to understand how the app is used. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used to make websites and apps work efficiently, and to provide information to site owners.

Cookies are not harmful programs — they cannot execute code or carry viruses. They simply store small amounts of information that help the Service remember who you are and what your preferences are.

Similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags may also be used and are covered by this policy.

2. How We Use Cookies

FencerApp uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you securely logged in to your account.
  • Remember your preferences and settings within the app.
  • Understand how users navigate and use the Service, so we can improve it.
  • Detect and prevent security threats and fraud.
  • Ensure the Service functions correctly across sessions.

We do not use cookies for advertising purposes, and we do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Essential

Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without them, features like logging in and navigating the app will not work. Because they are essential, they cannot be disabled.

Functional

Functional Cookies

Functional cookies allow the Service to remember choices you have made (such as display preferences) and provide a more personalised experience. Disabling these cookies may affect some features but will not prevent the core Service from working.

Analytics

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website and app — for example, which pages are most visited and where users encounter issues. This information is aggregated and anonymous and is used only to improve the Service. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use. We have no direct control over these cookies, but we only integrate third parties whose data practices meet a reasonable standard.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyse how visitors use the Service. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. We have enabled IP anonymisation so your full IP address is not stored by Google.

Stripe

Our payment processor Stripe may set cookies during the checkout and payment flow. These are strictly functional and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/au/privacy.

6. Managing & Disabling Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using FencerApp.

Google Chrome

Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data

Mozilla Firefox

Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

Apple Safari

Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Microsoft Edge

Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Google Analytics Opt-Out

To prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visit, you can install the free Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. FencerApp currently does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves or as new technologies emerge. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may notify you within the app. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
